A dungeon seems to open up around them along the way—part of an unusual increase in activity that might coincide with the Wayfarers' arrival, according to Betel—and they have to navigate around some territorial wilds in the process.

The vault team cavalry hurries downstairs just as Sonora stops fighting, bringing with them just the incriminating evidence she'd been hoping they would find. Ignatius dismisses the accusations against him and orders his heads of security, Rin and Raul, to arrest the party. The three scattered groups have to band together quickly in order to defeat the guards and the corrupt mayor.

When the team finally breaks down the door, they discover a trove of unusual equipment and incriminating information, which they manage to rescue before the guards can destroy the evidence on Raul's orders.

2023-08-26 - Las Picaras Bandit Camp
Aige, Lavender, Lyle, Silver, Rodion, and Tarahn appeared unexpectedly out in the desert, giving a rude awakening to the Las Picaras gang that was camping nearby. After a tense initial meeting, the newcomers obtained some tattered clothes and whiled away the afternoon chatting and doing chores, but then woke up the following morning to find that the bandits had moved on.
