2023-09-28 - Mayoral Residence – Upper Floors - Completed
As the gala carries on downstairs, the group who agreed to help Sonora lets some of her crewmembers inside. They're able to find the mayor's rumored secret vault, but Mabosstiff Raul's security team quickly closes in. When the team finally breaks down the door, they discover a trove of unusual equipment and incriminating information, which they manage to rescue before the guards can destroy the evidence on Raul's orders.

The Grand Frontier Gala finally arrives, and some of the invited party members mill around in the main event, whether keeping an eye out for Sonora's group, preparing to help Sonora's group, or just trying to have a good/productive time. The atmosphere is tense as everyone waits for whatever's going to happen next.

Odette resolves herself to help Sonora, if only on the pretense to keep her from getting killed, and Steven decides to attend in order to help any innocents who might get stuck in the crossfire of any potential scuffle.

There they meet three construction workers, Erva the Skarmory, Ryder the Gabite, and Jaak the Vigoroth (disparaged by the others as a city boy), who are initially hostile. In the end, however, Jaak, who becomes especially friendly when he learns some of the PCs are humans, assists them in stowing away on a cargo train to Frontier Town and helps them pilfer some extra-fancy clothes.
