Laura, Koa, Archie, Silver, and Leaf sneak away during the party to scope out the halls of the Congress, where they have an unexpected encounter with the spectral steed Spectrier, a gloomy fellow who tells them a bit about his history with the Covenant and his best friend Arthur. (He also shows them the garden where he likes to lie on the floor.)
