* Destroying the Shadow Containment Unit causes shadow energy to leak out everywhere, but the device wasn't meant to generate shadows itself; it was instead containing the shadows generated by the ARK Unit, a "feature" added to it by Lovrina.

* The party is able to #Ban Lovrina and take her out of the fight, but rather than defeating the ARK Unit in battle they call out to it instead. Their promises to help save it from its shadows and become its friends break through to it, and it stands down. ARK Unit is unnerved and unsure what to do about its current situation, but does seem to appreciate the chance to get away from Lovrina and see the sun again.

* Lovrina and her brother Naps were totally unaffected by the shadows generated by ARK, in spite of them threatening to spike the party's own shadows. She explains that Cipher's scientists have discovered a way to become resistant to shadow themselves, though she doesn't elaborate on it for now.

* The ARK Unit was built by the Covenant of Light, presumably attempting to create a legendary/saint of their own. "A.R.K." stands for "Artificial Radiant Knight". The Covenant was unsuccessful in their attempts to have the ARK Unit harness Radiance, but after Lovrina traded them some old techie junk for it, she was able to successfully infuse it with shadows instead.

* Jade and Nova find several memory discs scattered about the lab, and take them with in the hopes that Nova and Gladion (also newly evolved into silvally) might be able to use them.
