2024-01-06 - Frontier Town Outskirts - Completed
At Lucien's request, a group sets out to track down Seth Lycas, the Wolf, to learn more about his control over shadows and—if necessary—apprehend him. He manages to surprise them instead, and he's prepared for a fight. The Wayfarers are eventually able to bring Seth down, but Wes's heightened anger and frustration drives him into a frenzy.

* The "shadow voice" that has been communicating with Seth, and presumably with the Wayfarers in their dreams, calls himself "Powehi". Powehi has no interest in cooperating with the Wayfarers, as he's convinced their presence is damaging to Forlas.
* Seth reveals that he didn't actually defeat Cipher in his own world. In fact, he claims that Cipher are the ones producing artificially-shadowed pokémon (i.e. in Blaguarro/Terminal Two). They were running low on the material used to create shadows in their own world, and somehow opened a portal to Forlas to continue their mining and experiments there. They caught Seth and his pokémon and started to corrupt them all, including Seth himself, but he escaped through the portal before they could complete the process on him; this is why he's currently a shadow pokémon, and presumably also part of why he's still somewhat lucid. He was worried the Wayfarers might be with Cipher at first, since he assumed at the time the portal was the only way into Forlas. (Seth damaged the portal on arrival and injured the techs operating it, so it may not currently be functional.)
* Seth has been trying to sabotage Forlas-Cipher's plans and stay hidden as best as possible, but he was surprised by Fein (Cipher's master of disguise who had impersonated Seth in the past), and killed Fein in self-defense/out of paranoia. He was trying to make sure Cipher never found the body and suspected him, which is why he was so adamant the Wayfarers stay away.
* It seems at least some of the crimes attributed to the Wolf (i.e. on the wanted posters) may have been committed by Fein masquerading as Seth. (Seth *has* been attacking people he knows are with Cipher, however.)
* In response to seeing Nova's luxury ball, he says that only Cipher should have access to poké balls, and that they're able to bring items like poké balls, clothing, etc. through the portal with them; it's not just for living beings.
* He has never met any of the Escarpa, to his knowledge, so the rumor that he was an exiled Escarpa warrior is untrue.
* Seth is able to "share his shadows" with Wes, possibly because "their shadows were so similar" (presumably meaning they have similar history and traumas). Seth was just trying to teach him a lesson and scare him off, but this extra shadow, combined with Wes's existing anger, causes Wes to fall into a frenzy, evolve into a dusk lycanroc, and attack the party. (Mechanically, having high enough shadow to reach the "Frenzied" status causes one to become an enemy unit until calmed down or knocked out.)
