Info learned:
• The mayor's attitude toward the group isn't stellar, and he advises them to keep the stranger members of the group under control (i.e., Tarahn, who was mistaken for a feral). He would rather work with someone more reputable, but the Nexus group is who's available, so they're who he's asking.
• His primary request is that Las Picaras be kept away from the event, but he doesn't mind if they end up arrested or dead (as long as it's handled discreetly); the group is welcome to claim the bounty on their heads, in addition to his offered pay, if they can manage it.
• According to Ignatius, the bandits have stolen enough cash and property that they're extremely likely to be hanged for larceny. Law in the Soja' frontier doesn't currently bother with attempting to reform known criminals.
