* Alexander's connection with Dark Matter back in his (and Mhynt/Owen's) world has allowed him to connect himself with Lethe, Forlas's Voidlands, and become far more powerful than Powehi anticipated when he'd planned to just let Alexander harry Cipher. He can't risk battling Alexander at full strength, but if the Wayfarers can weaken him and his dungeon connections, he should be able to drive Alexander back to his own world.

* Alexander is using Shadow to corrupt mystery dungeons, with his work centered on the powerful dungeon of Eremus Fault—the same dungeon Cipher exploited with their portal. The Wayfarers will need to challenge Alexander and Cipher there, in addition to securing other dungeons. Powehi promises to use his own power to grant the Wayfarers some protection from the worst of Alexander's Shadow.

* Eremus Fault's distortion is so potent because it was actually created by an offworlder who tried to seize power. Powehi himself had to step in, but a deep, fundamental tear in reality still remains there.

* Powehi apologies to the Wayfarers for mistrusting them. It was natural for him to be less wary of a single (if despicable) person than an entire group of wildcards brought here by an unknown entity, but he admits that the Wayfarers have heroic intent and, even with the danger they present to the fabric of reality, Forlas and its departed souls have a much better chance of survival with their help.
