Days after the group reconvenes in Frontier Town (after having been separated by the teleporting cloud), Kimiko finally manages to find Laura again (well, Laura finds her). As they get acquainted, another meowth happens upon them and brings with her a mysterious earring.

Jade finally (re)joins the party. Laura and Kimiko fill her in on the early news they've gathered so far re: housing, clothing, and humans. Jade, then, tells them she needs to find the Escarpa clan to help her traveling partner*, showing them an earring she was given by said partner to prove to the clan her worth. Kimiko and Laura recognize the name, and offer to assist Jade in her search.
*This traveling partner is Luxio Brisa. This information was NOT revealed in scene so Laura and Kimiko do not know this at the time, but was public meta knowledge via the Continental Rail, East Commonwealth thread opening scene.
