Odette is initially annoyed by Ridley's arrival but calms upon seeing he's a mimikyu--one of her favorite 'mon. She's just gotten her job singing at Sun Stone and is worried about what songs to sing and how to prepare them without the standard amenities her own world would provide. She reminisces about ghost types before disdainfully recalling her own arrival to Ridley, and even suggests he become a PI as a job to cover his room and board at the Traveler's Haus.

Ridley wanders into Sun Stone wondering how he's going to get ahold of drinks being that he looks like a "child," and introduces himself to Odette first. Mentions that he used to be human and also reminisces a little about ghost types and recalls how he arrived with his group. He asks her about how lodging at the Traveler's Hause works, and mentions he likes to stick his nose into things and might find work at a local bulletin board.
