Gerome explains he has a wife and kid, lives a quiet life and would like to keep it that way. Dave is pretty sure he's human, though he denied it when asked directly.

He says the human supremacist group could destroy a town if they wanted and that they should spread the news to the rest of their group, as they might get mistaken for them. They're mostly around in the heart of the Commonwealth, less so out here in Frontier Town. He also says he knows the Escarpas and that "the daughter", Luxio Brisa, is a real firebrand who has trouble with her own strength, which people are leery of. Her strength comes from being half-human through her father, Jesse Stranger; Jesse used to be a friend of Gerome's, who he helped out, and Gerome doubts he'd be on the side of the supremacists, but things change.

Gerome is leery of anyone who's too enthusiastic about humans, like Jaak. He warns them that if any of the rest of the group would be inclined to treat Pokémon as 'tools or fodder to lead', they're going to have Problems.

Dave watched a TV show based on Pokémon Colosseum in his world, so meeting Wes is a new kind of what-the-fuck.
