Barber Apprentice
Silver’s backstory should be known to most people: an arrogant kid who stole a Totodile from Prof. Elm’s laboratory, who always lost against the hero (Ethan, in my case), who hates weaklings and Team Rocket, who has a beef against Lance, and who is now trying to learn how to strengthen his heart and become a better person.
This incarnation is meant to be the sequel after the end of the HGSS games. Driven by his desire to atone for his past mistakes and his life as a thief, he’s working hard to learn about friendship and become the strongest Trainer he can be. While he’s still grumpy and somewhat detached and reserved, he has the heart in the right place and wishes to forge some connections and learn how to trust others.
Despite appearances and his tsundere traits, he will be one of the first people who will rush to help out. No longer weighed down by his rap sheet, he consider this new setting his chance to prove himself as a trustworthy person.
Silver is a down-to-earth and no-nonsense person, and he is very straightforward and blunt in most circumstances. Don’t expect him to sugarcoat matters to spare your feelings. However, he’s getting better at being a bit more considerate, and he will apologize (albeit with much difficulty) if he did something wrong or hurt someone too badly.
He might miss most social cues and he doesn’t appreciate loud and overly crowded places — as an extreme introvert, they make him feel uncomfortable, and he might withdraw within himself and become much quieter.
That doesn’t mean that he can’t be a bit softer when the situation requires it, but those are extremely rare occurrences.
Assist - A move that Johtonian Sneasel could learn before it got snapped. This would also symbolize Silver’s versatility, quick thinking and battle knowledge — he might need only a quick glimpse at someone else’s move before being able to replicate it.
Claw-based physical attack. May lower the target’s Atk or Mag by 1, then the user creates a Protect shield. If the barrier is broken, the user learns +1 AI Combat Intel about the attacker and the attacker is burned on contact.
• Description
“The user quarrels and brawls with the opponent to disarm them, then the phoenix’s soul guards the user and reads the opponent’s heart. Making direct contact with the user while they’re heated up results in a burn.”
• Explanation
This move represents the fusion between Silver’s soul and Spectrum Ho-Oh’s soul, which happened when the phoenix shared his life force to save the redhead’s life.
Hence, Silver inherited some of Spectrum’s powers, like the ability to sense the light and darkness within people’s hearts. However, since most of the phoenix’s abilities are emotion-fueled and Silver still struggles to understand his own and others’ emotions, they are currently beyond his reach.
However, with the divine energy of Radiance loosening the binds around his heart and reacting to Spectrum’s dormant presence, these powers began leaking out and manifesting themselves when Silver’s emotions reach fever pitch…
• Move’s Depiction
For this combo attack, Silver strikes the opponent with taunting slashes, which are followed by a golden Ho-Oh apparition that protects him like a bodyguard. If the phantom is struck, it explodes and burns any nearby attacker. Then the ashes are absorbed by Silver, who gets the heart-read information.
Has double power if Silver inflicted a hex timer on the target this turn. May lower the target's Spd by 1. Cures his burn and resets the shield cooldown if Hotheaded Soul was already used this turn.
Seven words: former bully with a hair-trigger temper.
More than seven words:
Despite Silver’s best attempts at distancing himself from his family’s legacy, there is a major side of his personality that he is ashamed of but can’t always ignore: he and his grandmother are very similar. They both take great pleasure from crushing whoever comes across as weaker than them because that makes them feel strong, POWERFUL, and Silver inwardly despises that feeling strong makes him feel so GOOD!
Hence, when his superiority complex mixes with his self-hatred and his mustelid predatory instincts, his mind is overtaken by blind fury, his burning muscles are forgotten, and he unleashes his rampage into whoever he perceives as weaker than him.
In some cases, he might even cripple the poor unfortunate soul that was unlucky enough to get in his way. Don’t cross him, people!
Even his appearance changes slightly: the shadows become so intense that they shroud his pelt completely and turn it as dark as an ice Sneasel. Also, if someone were to look carefully, they might notice a red R-shaped glow on his chest…

• I’d like to avoid scenes that involve extreme violence, physical torture, and heavy bleeding. However, I’m fine with fight scenes involving visible scratches, tolerable injuries, or anything easily fixable or that won’t take too long to heal.
I can go further when it comes to plot-mandated fights that could leave my characters bedridden for some time, but I wish for the extent of the damage to be implied/implicit/left to interpretation.
• Drama and light/medium angst is legit, and I never say no when it comes to WAFF or lighthearted scenes!
• You can always reach out for me to brainstorm ideas and possible directions of the scene, especially if it’s something meant to have some serious and/or long-lasting impact.
