Background

Odette is a Kalosian born native, born out of wedlock to a Pokemon Professor named Vienna. She was born prematurely, resulting in stunted growth and an underdeveloped immune system that continues to ail her even 26 years later.

She was raised by a young Vienna, as well as her own grandparents Bernard and Marieanne, and had a relatively normal upbringing as a result. What set it apart was her explosive anger problems, which got her in trouble on numerous occasions and even kicked out of a primary school.

Growing up, she learned the art of training "magical type" Pokemon (ghost, fairy, psychic, dark, dragon) through her mother's occupation, and took lessons in dance, singing, and acting as means to hone her anger, per suggestion from her pediatric therapist. Her aim was to become a musical theater star and star battler, in the same vein as Diantha, but a very unfortunate incident left her traumatized and unable to proceed. She has since majorly overcome this trauma, but is now trying to learn to live with the things that have changed since then.

At this point in time, she has moved to Alola and taken on the title as Alola's first Champion after competing in its first-ever League-sanctioned circuit. She has made great new friends (and even a potential new lover), but is still clinging to her friends and old flame from Kalos, which she had to leave unwillingly.

RP guidelines

-In the right mind, Odette is a wallflower. She's quiet, very observant, prefers to keep to herself, and would rather avoid overwhelmingly social situations. If she gets into conversations, she's very well-spoken, if not a little crass with the amount of curse words she might use at any given moment. She'll get uncomfortable if things get too heavy, and might fall into her own dry humor to lighten the mood.

-When her anger flips, it FLIPS. She will not hesitate to get in anybody's face and might even throw down if the situation calls for it. She is anger-incarnate, so please be prepared for a very violent comeback if you seek to make her upset.

-In a time of need (such as a fight), she can and will take the helm as a leadership figure, as she has no issues calling shots and instructing others what to do. Likewise, she knows when to fall back and let others handle things (unless she thinks they're inept, in which case, she will make her thoughts known. If this happens to you, please don't take it personally).

-She's bilingual. Kalosian (French) is her native tongue and she's fluent in Galarian (English) so she sometimes stumbles over her words or forgets Galarian equivalents of Kalosian words and vice versa.

-She has a soft spot for those who are interested in the arts, and those who have ample street smarts and deduction skills. She also feels for the more "innocent" characters, though she might try to avoid them so she doesn't accidentally say something that makes them upset.

-She gets very triggered if she feels cornered by someone larger than her and thinks she has no means of escaping or defending herself. She's also very testy about those who think murder is wrong. Houndooms put her on edge, as do wishiwashi. The fastest way to piss her off is to legitimately (not jokingly) insult her height and/or health. She cannot handle overly positive or overly emotional people and might snap at them if she is unable to avoid them.

-Fires make her VERY nervous.

-Her chomp head serves as an "intrusive thoughts hose," and will often speak and act on the things Odette is subconsciously thinking whether she realizes it or not. This might result in some very unsavory things being said. As of this moment, she has her jaws chained shut to prevent her social standing from plummeting, but please let me know if you're interested in picking a fight with them; I will gladly look for reasons for her to unchain them. That said, please know that if she does go off on your character in any way, it does not reflect MY thoughts on you or your character. Her jaws are just heinously crass and lack a filter, and she herself is just a wrathful person. I am likely cringing on your behalf.

-Despite the point I've pulled her from story-wise, Odette is still polyamorous (despite the fact she does not realize this yet). I think she'd be wary to enter any romantic relationships at this point in time due to POKEMON BODIES, but I imagine she could be swayed on personality in later game.

Exceptional move

Acrobatics - Odette is a classically trained dancer, so she is quite nimble and flexible with her movements.

Hidden Power: Soul's Wrath

Odette cuts herself to draw blood, taking a small HP penalty. Her open wound results in a sharp boost to her offenses, and her newfound power might induce rage in nearby targets, causing Confusion.

In her home world, Odette gives power to her partner Odile (who is the embodiment of the deadly sin of Wrath) by drawing blood and allowing Odile to ingest/react with it. Odile also had the power to induce anger in others. The implication of the flavor here is meant to suggest that despite being in a different body, Odile is still a large part of Odette's soul, allowing her to power up by drawing blood and even possibly having the opportunity to induce minor fits of rage in others.
