Alejandro’s Assistant
Wes was snatched off the streets as an orphan child and raised in a gang called Team Snagem. He had a natural talent for battling and snagging, and rose up through the ranks until he was Gonzap’s second in command by the age of 18. At age 22, he left Snagem in a violent fashion to protect his Pokémon, and was attempting to flee the region when he ran into a young woman named Rui. Through a series of events, he got roped into teaming up with the police to confront a massive underground crime syndicate in Orre, and got entangled in something far bigger than anybody had planned for.
[Time to update this because I misunderstood the first time, kek]
Temperament: Wes is…not a social butterfly. 😂 His reactions to other people will vary from standoffish and aloof, to fumbling and awkward, to downright rude and snippy, depending on the other person’s personality. Anyone who is overly boisterous, cocky, loud, and/or intrusive will get quite a prickly response from him—but with time, he will likely open up if the other person is genuine and respectful of his boundaries. He has a soft spot for kids and/or anyone who seems particularly naive and innocent. He has no patience for snark and will hastily dish it right back with no remorse.
Triggers: Older, commanding, gruff men set him on edge. He has a strong aversion to/fear of the Skarmory species for Reasons. He dislikes physical contact, unless it’s with someone he knows well and deeply trusts.
Shadow Claw - As a physical striking move, it’s in-character for Wes’s fighting style. Slashing with claws is reminiscent of the dagger he uses in his world, and the whole theme of it being a *Shadow* Claw really ties in nearly with his character and the story he’s from, where the plot revolves around him rescuing and rehabilitating Shadow Pokémon. While not an official Shadow move, the word “Shadow” does come with connotations that the move is associated with repressed negative emotion, which is Wes to a T. :copyka:
First strike grants the user Focus Energy Status. All additional strikes will grant +1 speed and +1 accuracy unless/until the user loses their Focus Energy Status. The cycle will then repeat.
Wes’s move will manifest in the shape of a large dagger—the dagger that he carried around with him in his world. The strike, while not incredibly powerful, is precise and quick, a reflection of his flighty fighting style. Steel type is not only reflective of the knife itself, which was made from a Skarmory feather, but also of his determination to hide his fears and weaknesses; his fear of Skarmory, his weakness to Steel type, and more.
As Wes grows and becomes more sure of himself, the knife will gradually become larger and eventually turn into a sword—a physical manifestation of his personal growth, and the fact that he’s no longer hiding his weaknesses, but instead leaning into them to turn them into strengths.

Several mafia games on TR since 2021, including hosting one as GM. I have participated in 1 flash RP and 1 medium-length RP campaign, Adventure Quest, with three characters simultaneously.
I am currently participating in a private, small group RP on a private Discord server as well!
I’ve played some DnD, though my experience is minimal. I’ve never played a TTRPG online or in a digital format, and this will probably be the most intricate RP I’ve taken part in with formal stats and a combat system.
